Lots of people talk about wanting more cultural events in Alameda, some even talk about wanting an Arts Center.
So it’s put up or shut time!
Next Friday (first Friday of August) a new exhibition at Rhythmix Cultural Works is opening up with a reception. The Locals celebrates local people, local artists and local community, and personally I think it looks great. The artists work explore the more traditional (little league) side of Alameda, but also explore other important aspects of our community.
After checking it out, head on over to the Frank Better Center for a continuation of the Alameda’s First Friday Celebration. and the opening of “Alameda on Plein Air.”
Hope to see you there.
